Using the ProjectWise V8i Bulk Attribute Update tool

If you have MicroStation tag data matched to ProjectWise attributes/metadata and need to update these attributes in bulk, the Bulk Attribute Update tool will accomplish this task. This tool is most useful when extracting Titleblock attributes in bulk from MicroSation to ProjectWise when needed.

1.) Navigate to Start > Programs > Bentley > ProjectWise v8i > iDesktop_Integration > Attribute Bulk Update and run the Attribute Bulk Update Tool.


2.) Login to ProjectWise

3.) Select the folders/documents that you want updated using the Mark button. Click the Next button when finished.

4.) The Documents Summary dialog will display the number of documents to be processed. Click Next to continue.

5.) The next dialog enables the ability to output the attribute results to a log file and choose the level of detail desired. Click Next to continue.


6.) In the Perform Bulk Update dialog, click the Start Update button to begin processing the documents. When the process is done, a summary dialog will display showing the results of the bulk update.
