For MicroStation sessions that are launched outside of the ProjectWise environment, you can disable the integration between ProjectWise and MicroStation so that all file system related commands display the standard list of Windows drives and folders rather than ProjectWise datasources and folders.
1) To do so, open the file pw.cfg (located in the \Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation\config\appl folder) in a text editor and enable the following three lines by removing the comment symbol (#) at the beginning of each line.

2) Save the changes that you have made to pw.cfg and then launch MicroStation from your desktop or Start Menu to see the change.
